Creating groups or teams for scheduling
This lesson shows you how to create groups for scheduling your people. For instance: if you had a choir that you wanted to schedule all at one time, you would follow these directions.
On the People page, Click Edit Properties
The first thing you need to do is set up custom properties in a way that identifies your groups or teams. For this lesson, we are going to use the example of scheduling a Choir.
Create a custom property called Choir.
This step can be done two ways, and it just depends on how you want it set up.
Example 1: Create a whole custom property called Choir (same as how you see Vocals in this screen shot). If you do this, you would then need to add an option under it called Choir.
Example 2: Add Choir as an option under a custom property that you already have, such as Vocals. I'm going to do this option because I feel it's more streamlined this way.
Click on the Pencil Icon next to the Choir option to assign people from your database directly to this option.
Or assign options to an individual by clicking on their name on the people page...
...and then searching for the desired option or custom property.
Set Up Categories and Positions.
Hover over the 'People' area on the left of the plan, and click on the gear icon that appears there.
Add position or category.
1- If you added Choir as a custom property, with an option under it called Choir, you will need to add that as a category here.
2- If you added Choir as an option under Vocals or some other custom property, add that as a position here. Then it will show up as Choir does above, under Vocals. Now you are ready to schedule! For more information on scheduling your groups or teams, click here.
